Let’s take an in depth look at both learning platforms to determine what is the best option for you. There are a ton of websites out there to teach you about making money online, but only a few are genuine and teach you the fundamentals you need to succeed. So Let’s begin with the comparison of the two and Let me say I am an Affiliate with both services, but this is no way a biased blog piece to sway you in choosing one over the other. This is a ClickBank University VS. Wealthy Affiliate review to give you the option for yourself to make your own decision based on your own free will.
Wealthy Affiliate
So let me talk about Wealthy Affiliate for a second. This is a company that has been around for a while and is killing it in the online Marketing game. They have over 1.4 million members and growing, operates in 193 countries and provides access to over 600 million products to be marketed online. This is a learning platform which is perfect for new comers to join and learn about Affiliate Marketing from the ground up.
The videos are easy to watch and they are step-by-step instructional videos to get you started with learning about building a website with WordPress. They really teach you everything you need to know as a beginner. The program is very thought out in the sense that Wealthy Affiliate takes the time to teach you about picking a niche and building content around that niche or passion you have to monetize your site.
They go further into creating links and becoming a part of Affiliate programs to sell their product or services. You are also taught about SEO and social media marketing all from a beginners point of view. They offer the first phase of training for free and it is free to join Wealthy Affiliate. You will also receive 2 free websites to get you started upon joining. I think the best part of this is you do not need to put down a credit card to join.

ClickBank University
We are going to talk about ClickBank University in terms of learning about Affiliate Marketing. ClickBank is a market place which allows you to join for free to become an Affiliate and market products or services without even needing a website. That means you can direct market through FaceBook or other forms of social media by using ClickBank links. However, I always recommend having a website for more than one reason. I will share a link to the reasons why further in the post.
What does ClickBank University have to offer in terms of being a beginner. First off they are consistently keeping up with the evolution of marketing in the sense that they update their training matching new approaches to what is currently working. To be completely honest I think the two learning platforms are great together it you can afford them. You can learn the absolute beginnings of setting up a website and SEO workings among others through Wealthy Affiliate. Through ClickBank University you can learn more of a marketing approach to the online business. There is something ClickBank University focuses on more that Wealthy Affiliate, and that is sales funnels and email marketing. Don’t get me wrong here, you can definitely learn about this through Wealthy Affiliate, but they don’t go into depth about it like ClickBank University does. There are a few things you can get through the CBU platform that are not offered with WA. One of those things is a sales funnel builder which will help you build your squeeze pages. This is kinda like ClickFunnels in a sense that it works the same way. If this is all confusing for you, don’t worry. It takes time to learn about this stuff to know how it works and what to implement in your online business.
CBU also has a formula for email marketing which is really helpful to help you gain leverage over the click through rate and follow up with your potential buyers. However, if you want to start building a list for email marketing you will need an auto responder service or mail service. Mail Chimp works great, but they kinda frown upon Affiliate Marketers which is why I recommend AWber. Which One Is Better?
In my opinion it’s not a matter of which one is better, but which one will offer more value to what you’re trying to achieve. On one hand you have a learning platform which will teach you how to set up a website step-by-step. Giving you all the essential tools needed to create content and add value to your core base which would be your website through Wealthy Affiliate. On the other hand you have an amazing platform that teaches you how to execute strategic marketing and helps you build sales funnels to maximize your earning potential through ClickBank University.
Both of these learning platforms are unique and helpful in their own way to help you be the best you can be in Affiliate Marketing. However one is much more affordable than the other in the sense that if you are just starting out you would need to watch how much you are spending. It is very easy to go overboard when getting started with creating your first online business. It doesn’t matter what you are trying to accomplish with your website or making money online. You need to be cautious with what you need right away and what could wait. There is one benefit with ClickBank and that is if you already know what you are doing in terms of marketing then you would be able to join ClickBank “Not ClickBank University” for free without a website and proceed to promote direct links through paid ads to try to make money. What Other Tools Will You Need
Besides learning the skill of Affiliate Marketing you will need other tools to help you in your journey to success. I recommend an email auto-responder like AWeber to capture emails and build a list. I also would say you should have a landing page or a funnel to drive you traffic to a series of pages which will help you sell more proficiently. I recommend Kartra for your sales funnel for more reasons than one. Not only can you build a sales funnel, but you can also use it as an auto-responder, a market place, a shopping cart, and a learning platform if you want to create your own training and charge for the training. Other tools you should consider is investing in a camera for a YouTube channel. Videos are proven to get a higher click through rate than text, but this is something extra you can get down the line. To get started in Affiliate Marketing you can get started for free, but to actually see real results and be proficient in what you do, you will need to fork over some cash. This doesn’t have to be a lot of money to start. You can actually get started with less than $100. However, it will cost on average every month around $70 a month to get started and have a learning platform that will show you exactly what you need to do step-by-step and an email auto-responder to start building your list. Now this is an estimate which I will be showing the actual cost of services and programs to help you along your way. Starting an online business or making money from home will and does cost money. There are so many people out there saying “Make money online with no start up fee” Let me be the first to tell you there is always a start up fee of some kind… ALWAYS.
It is just a matter of who you’re spending those fees with that makes a difference. I have confidence in saying the services I am recommending to you here are 0 legit and proven to work.
Let’s take a look at how much some of the services and learning platforms cost.
- Wealthy Affiliate: Starts at $49 a month. The first month is only $19 and they also offer 6months and annual membership packages which reduce the cost tremendously. *REMINDER- It is absolutely free to join and receive the first phase of training with your 2 free websites for you to build.
- Domain for Website: This would cost around $13 or $15 bucks for the year
- Hosting for your Website: Through Wealthy Affiliate it is included in your membership. The free websites offered also has no additional charges. They are free, but if you register a domain of you own “.com” instead on a “siterubix.com” this will cost however much the domain name cost. It’s not really a big deal. If you are not a part of Wealthy Affiliate then hosting could cost around $10 a month.
- ClickBank University: This program starts at about $47 a month but has up charges to purchase the funnel builder among other services which in essence they could do all the work for you and all you have to do is pay. This can get rather expensive.
- AWeber: This service for email marketing starts at $19 a month with a free two-week trial to see if you like it. The prices do go up from there depending on how many people you want to keep in your email list. I think as a newcomer to Affiliate Marketing this will do just fine for the beginning.
- Kartra: This program is an all-in-one program and could potentially eliminate everything else. It starts at $89 per month and gores up from there. * It is only $1 to try this service out for two weeks. It is totally worth the try.
- Landing Page Builder: This is optional, I say this because if you buy the auto-responder service and have your website built you would be able to create a funnel system with the landing page. This would cost you around $12.95 for an Affiliates plan and $24.95 for a vendors plan. You can take advantage right now and try it out for only $1 with a 60-day money back guarantee. However, again I say this is totally optional.
So to sum it all up to get started with an email service, website, and learning platform this would only cost you about $85 bucks in the beginning and about $70 bucks monthly depending on what service you choose. I added it up to the cost of Wealthy Affiliate, AWeber, and the cost of a domain registry.
As you progress and learn more you can add on more to your site or buy plug-ins for WordPress. You can upgrade your email services, You can buy Ads for marketing, create a logo for your branding, and so much more. All in good time. Do not put all your eggs in one basket and spend like crazy not knowing exactly what you are doing. Take your time and learn all that you can and if you get overwhelmed stop and take a break.
